André Barbault was a prominent French astrologer and authored over 50 books. Two of these: The Value of Astrology and Planetary Cycles – Mundane Astrology, were published in Ecglish 2014-2016 by the Astrological Association of Great Britain.
Of special interest to mundane astrologers is Barbault’s Cyclic Index, which is derived from the sum of the angular distance between the outer planets Jupiter – Pluto to produce a graph, usually 50-100 years. The high points of this graph correlate with periods of stability and low points correlate with periods of war and turbulence. The research I have done so far suggests that this Index is generally accurate and warrants further investigation.
Quoting from https://www.uraniatrust.org/index.php/celebrated-astrologers/andre-barbault :
“He became an active member of the Centre International d’Astrologie from its inception in 1946 and served as its Vice President from 1953 to 1967. Later he began to pioneer computerized horoscopes to the public under the name Astroflash and founded the magazine L’Astrologue in 1968.”
Barbault took special interest in the Saturn– Neptune cycle and used it to successfully predict the demise of the Soviet Union.
Andre Barbault died on October 6 at 96 years of age, and left a legacy for mundane astrologers to build upon.
